WHOOO! And the first year of university is down, over and finished with! I had my last exam on Tuesday, before i headed down the pub to spend 13 hours drinking and partying... I'm gonna be home in 9 days, to see my family and friends and have a blast, the day after a huge all day party with 700 people. I'm gonna be so hung over!

I've been organising Freshers Week today, with the first few events all sorted out and perfected, free entry and cheap drinks! It's going to be a heavy heavy fortnight, huge amounts to drink, lots of late nights, and freshers to introduce to univeristy life!

Anyway, I'm now free, no more exams til January, no worries, and nothing at university but sunshine and beer. It's gonna be a cool week! See you all soon, and to everyone who's still got exams, good luck to you!

1:32 pm - AAARGH!
Hello and welcome to Drudwyn's LJ, finally being updated on a cloudy saturday morning in late May, with the exams closing in and the end of the year growing ever closer!

It's been an awesome year, apart from the fact that I've almost abandoned Livejournal completely, with mammoth parties, alchoholism and a totally groovy group of people in my life now... it's been a long time since I last posted, and there's so much I haven't written down... so I'll try and go from the top...

After Astral split up with me back in October, I met this wonderful guy at skullduggery who turned everything round, and blew my world away.
His name was Nick, sexy as hell, kind, caring, funny, snuggly, always fun to be with, and a very groovy kitty kat! We spoke to each other every night, and eventualy he came to see me at my hall in November... and now, 6 months later, it's still going amazingly strong... and I love him more every day.

I got a 2.2 for my first semester grade, which was cool, but I hope I can do better in this exam season... 5 days to go til my first exam, and I'm still not ready yet! I've got 5 exams in 7 days, and everything depends on this...If I fail, I'm screwed... and I'm bloody scared about it... But then I've always hated exams, so I'm trying not to read too much into it. I should be ok... if I can get my head around a few scripting concepts, set comprehension and some evil Boolean algebra! It's gonna take a shit load of revision, but I'll manage it!

As for the JCR, we've run some huge parties, but we're perpetually bankrupt, so they've only been small groovy things mostly, with one or 2 huge parties like the Valentine's Ball, which was awesome, except we lost so much money from it. We think someone nicked one of the cash boxes from us, but we're not sure... I hope it wasn't that, but there's not a lot else it could have been!

Anyway, I've got to head back to revision for now... so take care of yourselves, you groovy lot, and I'll see you around soon!

Bye for now!

1:07 am - WHOOO!
Well, it's been a hell of night! A 1 tip top grooving night! Tonight was JCR elections, in which I stood for Events manager against a DJ named Rupert, who's a bit of a legend... I had completed a lab report due in for friday, and then wrote a speech ) Which was a direct rip off of Winston Churchill's famous speech, but got the crowd cheering, laughing and gave me a huge round of applause... which rocked! I was so nervous giving the speech though, I kept shaking >,<

But anyway, I won by 75 votes to 30, giving me the most prestigious job of the whole JCR... YAY!

Then I went on a CircusSoc pub crawl, which consisted of 3 pints over 2 pubs >,< we just talked to a group of ninjas and made little silver dinosaur herds out of little glitter snowflake things and played games... and it rocked!

Then I spent an hour and a bit on the phone with Nick, which is always cool... and now I'm gonna head to bed¬

I've got maths work to do before tomorrow... but that's really not gonna happen... I think it may be a case of revising during lectures tomorrow, which'll be fun... Anyway, i'm home on Friday! And that's gonna rock!

I shall be out there doing my thing...Chris! get Graeme! he may be poor, but he's still coming!

Cya dudes!

Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical Intelligence

Every part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes.
You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time.
You are probably a gifted musician of some sort - even if you haven't realized it.
Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds.

You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer.

It's gonna be a fun Febuary... Hopefully going to Estonia at the beginning, then Nighwish on the 15th, and Biffy Clyro on the 20somethingth... It'll rock!

7:33 pm - vie est belle!
YARGH!

Alchohomol, a pub crawl, a super hero costume and lots of computer scientists. The recipe for a night that you can't remember the end of. The first 4 pubs I can remember drinking vast amounts in, pints, shots... anything was fair game... but the last pub... I can only remember walking into. Apprently, I had a couple of quad vod and oranges downed within minutes of getting in. The next thing I remember is waking up at 5am, rolling over and going... shit, where the hell am I?

Turned out a bloke from my tutor group had carted me to his house at some point, got me sorted out and put me to bed on my side. Which was really cool... Without him I'd be fucked! >,< Unfortunately now, I'm feeling rather ill!

Life at the moment is really cool! I'm having a great time at uni, my friends are all back after a weekend of travel, and Halo 2 rocks my world! Such an awesome game... If you haven't played it yet, go and buy it now!

Kate, Biffy Clyro is on! I have the tickets sorted out, and all I need to do is talk to you about the details...

Right, I'll try and post more often... cya all soon!

9:49 am - Explanations of stuff
I should explain what happenened, now i've calmed down and I can think again. The whole splitting up thing is nowhere near as bad as I made it out to be. I was just a little upset. Technically, we've split up, yes, but... I'm gonna have to explain this a bit more I think.

For the last few months, the spark has been gone from our relationship, and we were no more than just friends, to be honest. Very close, very open and snuggly friends maybe, but still friends. But I didn't see it. I carried on oblivious while it slowly became a friendship and not a relationship. It was no one's fault, it was just one of those things, you know? Sometimes things just aren't meant to be. Looking at it in that kinda light... it was for the best. Astral's an amazing guy, and I don't think I could bear not being able to see him every now and then, or to talk to him on the phone or the net... The break up could have been so much worse, had it happened in a few months, with things going the way they were... It would have probably been a very messy break up, with a lot more hostility and nastyness.

I don't want that kinda stuff.

I'm sad, that's to be expected, but pretty much everything we did we'll still be able to do, so the break up was pretty much in name only... we're still as close as we were (if I don't cock things up), I'm still his doggy, and he's still my owner, and I can't wait to see him again...

I'm not looking for anyone else, I'm not interested in any one else, I'm just gonna take it as it comes, I think.

I'm just an upset doggy, I'll get my head sorted out, and then I'll be back, bouncy and groovy and kicking ass... but for now, I'm gonna leave you guys with this post... I hope it explains some things

cya all soon!

11:02 pm - What an amazing day...
Today has been fun. I missed 2 lectures, failed an exam, felt shit, through up, got dumped and I have no friends to get stoned or drunk with, cos they've all fucked off out.

I'm single. In a weird way. This sucks. I've just spent the weekend with my boyfriend, I have a superb time,I tell him about my dreams, where I see myself being in 5 years, and my love for him. I come home this morning, eat lunch, feel sick for the entire day, sort out my lecture type stuff, have a great time at circus soc, learn more tricks, take one sip of my pint, go outside, throw up, come home, and talk to Astral online.

He rings me 5 minutes later...

...I cried.

It's official.

I'm single!

And it sucks.

We're still friends, and he's coming to see me soon, but I'm single.

I feel so lonely right now. Cold, and lonely, and I'm crying.

I love you still Astral, that's never gonna change.

See you all soon.

Oi Oi! It's Drudwyn in full Raver mood... Wet, knackered and loving it! I've been out and about at a Inter Hall contest to see who the best halls are. We came last! Which was cool!

I danced my arse off, started the dance floor moving, got admiring fans and got the DJ to play loads of decent House tunes. Fuckin mahoosive night!

but the Taxi companies weren't expecting us, so they didn't give us any taxis at the venue we were at! So we stood about in the rain and got really wet. But I'm home, I'm achey, and I had an awesome, awesome time!

Cya round soon ya crazy crazy people...

Hiya all you groovy and funkalicious people out there!

It's my first report from Southampton Uni, on the night I pulled my first student prank... a bloke called Dilan and I found an old Diverted traffic sign and carried it 2 miles from Portswood back to Connaught halls (my halls...more on that later) marched it through the gate, into the new quad, and up to Q block. Unfortunately, we walked into the security guard, who just happened to be in the site. hmm... bloody bad luck. Johnny Q nicked a wheely bin, Andy and little Richard nicked for sale signs, and we put them (and a trolley from the supermarket) onto the roof of the building. it ruled! The sign now resides in Dilan's room, and the security guards rock.

Bt yeah, I'm having an awesome time, and Southampton rocks.

I miss you all back home, but you'll get to see me soon.

I miss Astral so much, too. I'm going to see him this weekend though...

see you soon, my gorgeous...

3:30 pm - Oi Oi! You lucky people!
I'm off to university in 3 days! Southampton, here I come! Not only am I going to uni, but my pc arrives tomorrow! YAY! my first upgrade in about 5 years >,< It's gonna be so nice :P

Anyway, last night was kinda cool, I had my family farewell party, at a fantastic restuarant in town. Pauls, just off the high street, excellent food, beautiful surroundings...over all a fantastic place to eat out. I had Babysquid and stuffed Langustine in some kind of pastry/batter type stuff, on top of a beautifully subtle risotto, with Swordfish and lemongrass to follow, and a chocolate tureen for dessert.

Stuffed as a dog was I.

It was a fantastic evening, and it was fantastic to see my family again...and now it's time to panic and pack up my entire life into as few bags as I can manage, or at least start doing it...then copy everything I want from this pc onto cd...then buy more stuff...then realise that I won't have room for everything when I get down there... ah...stuff it.

Basically I'm gonna panic lots, like I normally do.

Then spend one week gettign drunk and partying lots...then off to see my boyfriend...and my god is that gonna be needed.

cya dudes soon

10:38 am - University calling
Well, less than 2 weeks left now before university starts...and I must admit I'm kinda nervous. I'm gonna be leaving everyone behind and moving off to a new place, with new people, on my own and with large bills to pay...Well, it's gonna be yet another challenge, and I've managed to go travelling for a lot of the summer on my own, so I guess I'll be alright.

Money's kinda the big worry, with so little time left, I've still heard nothing about my loan, and I can't get in contact with the LEA about it, so there's very little I can do. Apart from wait of course.

Dad's buying me a new pc, I've got my accomdation sorted out, and I've sorted almost everything else out...it's just money that needs sorting. But like I said, that's out of my control.

I said goodbye to Chris yesterday, he's off to university tomorrow...probably won't see him until December...maybe November... but yeah...stuff. The Mansion group is slowly splitting up, Fangy moving up to Sheffield, Katy, Richard and Grae moving together, Luke and Layla moving into a place together...and everyone goes bye bye...very weird situation...

But the Halo-2-athon will be going ahead at someone's house...It's gonna rock.

I'm off to see Astral on Wednesday, so I'll be gone for a few days, visits to Brighton, sleeping with my love, and lots of watching stuff, curled up together... 11 months tomorrow!

Cya all soon dudes

1:22 pm - This is Copenhagen...
Well here i am, it's Copenhagen! As some of you will know, I had the 'flu for the week leading up to this, and unfortunately I've given it to the person i'm staying with...so I'm looking after her at the moment :/ Donna's got a fever, she's achey all over, and basically she's feeling as shit as I was.

So that sucks...

Denmark's a very cool country, the people I've met are very quiet, reserved, and extremely liberal. Cannabis is legal, gay marriage is legal, the state looks after its people, and everyone seems happy. The Danes are different from Brits, though. As long as you don't attempt to be different you're fine. If you stray from the norm, then people will be wary of you. It's very weird. I watched acrobats and jugglers on stage, and the audience didn't cheer, they clapped quietly and not for long, and no one (except me and the Japanese) laughed at the antics. A Danish crowd is very difficult to perform to, it seems.

I spent yesterday wandering around the centre of town, past expensive shops and famous designers, passed jugglers and buskers, through beautiful streets, filled with beautiful people, and it's very nice... Except every luxury is expensive (for example... a pint costs about 4.50!) and the people seem...kinda boring. Very sensible, very quiet, and the sound of laughter, which fills every thing in British life, is strangely missing. I watched entire conversations with no laughter, both parties straight faced and always, always so serious.

It's got an amazing system, and everything works so well...people seem to be very trusting of each other... but it's alien to me. It's nice though...a great place to visit

Donna and I spent the evening wandering round the Tivoli amusement gardens. It's like a themepark combined with a circus, combined with a concert hall, restaurants and all set in a beautiful garden in the centre of the city. The end of the night was marked by an amazing show. The lake was covered in smoke, and the fountains were lit, music played, and lasers danced in time. It has to be seen to be believed, but it was awe inspiringly beautiful, and I was dumbstruck by it.

Oh, and Copenhagen has so many good looking guys! But none so good looking as the one I left behind in Eastbourne. The one I can't wait to see again...

God i miss him...:-(

Aaaaaanyway, I'll see him again soon, and I'll see you lot around too.

Cya!

2:07 pm - Out with the old, in with the new
It's been an interesting week. I went to see Astral, got some things off of my chest. I realised how weak I actually am, and how close I've been to losing the man I love, by my own stupidity. I found out some things that were bugging me, and it was all down to security and trust, things that I've decided to try and restore.

Nothing needs to change, I'm just going to talk with a couple of people, and maybe put someone in their place, and I will try so hard to never break the confidence Astral put in me. Because I'm his doggy, and I want to be with him so much, and I can see a future there. If I can avoid cocking it up...

Right, that's my relationship bit over, now for the rest of the news.

University is finalised. My accomodation is sorted, my course enrolled for, and my user area built and set up. The 4th of October my course starts, freshers starts on the 29th, and my parents are arguing as to who is going to take me down there. My dad took me down to the open day, and Southampton is his old university. He's now telling me that he never doubted me. Lying git. But mum...I'd like to have to say goodbye to my mum when I'm down there. To show her what will be my home for 3 years...

Hey, they'll sort it out between themselves.

I've been doing lots of DIY, rearranging the house, sorting out things, moving stuff around and repairing damage to the walls. plastering, painting and stuff. Which is fun...

And I'm off to Denmark in a week!

Anyway, cya all you dudes and dudettes later.

12:33 pm - Let's go find Danger! Help! Too much Danger! Run away!
That was an awesome week! I'm all LARPed out, and last night was the first night's sleep in my bed I've had for 10 days.

Skullduggery last weekend, Renewal this weekend, and a family holiday in Devon, sleeping in a caravan in between events. A good way to lose all physical coherence. Skullduggery was awesome, with the introduction of a new skill system, the death of both my character, Dune, in the gate of our camp, fighting on his own killing monster after monster, and the death of the Leno knight, Wedge Cloudminder, the one who'd been trying to conquer the world. So we won finally! Some idiots got their just desserts, and there was some awesome RP everywhere.

I got back from that, had 5 hours sleep, jumped on a train and travelled for 7 hours down to Axminster and then jumped through an open car window in my mum's car down there. The holiday was awesome, wandering around groovy town's with no townies! Completely clear of the bastards! it ruled!

And then Renewal...That was amazing beyond belief. I've been doing LARP for a few years now, but Renewal was something completely other. 10 times as may players as skullduggery, an amazing plot that allowed the players to go where they wanted, and do what they wanted, even down to the final battle. There are so many things you can do, it's fantastic. There are trader's, alchemists, mage councils, mercenery's, casino's, parliments...it's a whole world.

The game ruled, but my character died in a massive, 3 hour long fight, in the woods, dying with a healer not 6" away rom me. Bah! But it was cool none the less.

I didn't eat nearly enough, I drank far too much alchohol, and I'm on a detox and stuff my face diet at the moment.

I'll see you all soon, take care,

Drudwyn

But now I'm paying for it. I slept for 13 hours, I'm dead to the world, and I'm so, so very hungry.

2:37 pm - Welcome to the Monsoon
English weather...it sucks! At the moment we have mid 20*C temperatures and clear skies where I am. However, it's been like this most days. Soon, the clouds will roll in, and the sky will open, and the sea will try to reclaim the land by air drop.

Damn you Americans and your bloody hurricanes! Actually, that's hardly fair. You can't control your weather cycles, and you guys are getting far worse hit than us. But damn you anyway!

Well this past week has been pretty cool. I spent 5 days with my wonderful kitsune, sorted some things out (I hope), and he's still my love *kisses*.

Most of the last few days have just been spent relaxing and chilling in the sun, with music and water, and the ever constant torrential rain storms. But apart from the rain, it's been cool.

I went out clubbing last night, woalked back from the park in the rain, to get changed and head out to the pub. Where I got bought free drinks and saw so many (so so so many people) from my past it was silly, and then went clubbing. It was free entry, and cheap drinks, and they were selling glowsticks and playing some really cool late 90's house music. Fucking awesome night! And today, it's just me, my guitar and a flat, with a party later on tonight, and another late night.

Hey ho, life's just groovy, chilled and excellent. And I'm loving it!

Cya all soon,

12:24 pm - Tere inglese!
Yo! That was a bloody awesome week! I am so totally in love with Estonia....it's people, it's bizaare and ridiculously complicated language...it's beer, it's atmosphere and it's way of life...

I was due to fly off on the 16th...but me being me, I missed my flight. I was standing there at the airport, with no more flight's going to Helsinki (my first port of call), completely stuck. So ensued a massive spree of running round the airport trying to find a flight, lots of roaming the internet at extortionate prices, trying to find a damn flight...and then I got 2 offers. 1) fly to Helsinki the next day at 4:30 pm at £550 with BA, or fly to Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia for £300 via Prague with CSW... one seat left! So I bought that seat, obviously, and set off to find somewhere to sleep. I rang up my mum to let her know of the new arrangements, told here where I was at the moment...and she said that her sister lived not half an hour from where I was...Stroke of luck (for once)...

I headed off to wherever I was going, to some little town in the east end of London, and wandered in to the nearest pub for a drink, and to wait for my aunt to trn p of course...the drink didn't have any say in the fact that I was in the pub... ;) Finally she turned up and we wandered back to her place, chatting constantly. Now my aunt was a hippy...and like all hippies she enjoyed smoking cannabis...and because my aunt is still a hippy...she still does. Needless to say...but it was a very relaxed evening :D

The next morning I set off to Heathrow...From the far east end of London to the far west end...bloody long way on the underground... Wandered up to the correct terminal...wandered around the building a bit, and got my tickets from Air France (CSW doesn't have a presence there, apparently) and booked in! I was finally going to Estonia! The flight itself was the same as any flight, any where, boring, cramped and with turbulence :D

When I left London, it was raining, it was cold and the sky couldn't have been any grayer. Prague on the other hand was 28 C, it was sunny and the sky was blue. Damn English summer's... And then I flew on. The second leg being exactly the same as the first, but with less turbulence.

And then we arrived...Tallinn! It had cost me £300 more, it was dark, and it was late, and I had butterflies runnning around in my tummy. I was off to see someone who I'd never met before, who I knew didn't have much confidence in his English, and who was shy. I was bloody nervous. So there I was, standing by the arrival's door, looking around for anyone I could recognise...And then I saw Tanel, standing at the back of the (rather small) crowd waving to me...I went over and shook his hand, and the hand's of everyone he was with, Lars, (Who I'd only seen in pictures, Steve (Who I'd never seen, heard of or talked to) and Aron (who was remarkably camp)...

I said my hello's, and they introduced themselves, and we set off into the old town in Lars' car...It was kinda weird, not having much clue as to what was going on, but they were passing round a bottle of 'Gin' which tasted like Vodka-Red Bull, and the journey was pretty quiet. The Old Town of Tallinn is beautiful, cobbled streets and tall, imposing buildings with 3 foot thick walls (made of Limestone. If it's not concrete, it's Limestone. It's the country's favourite stone, and it's where (lim)Eston(e)ia's name comes from...) and narrow passageways. The view over the city was gorgeous...but I needed a drink, so we headed to the pub.

It was well past midnight, but everything was still open. But rather than going down to the main clubs, Aron led us down to a small cellar bar with no sign...Turned out to be a gay bar. it was cheap, it was chilled, and it was cool. And it served very good, very cheap, beer. And after that, we went clubbing! Tanel headed off to Lars' place, complaining that he was tired, and the rest off us went down to the Soviet built concert hall complex on the sea front. The Gravity club awaited. It was cheap (like everything in Estonia), it was loud and it was fairly busy. It played pretty much constant Europop and Trance, and it was just good fun to dance to. We arrived at 2... and we were there until 5...The back room of the club was...ummmmmm interesting...let's just say that...and I had a great time just dancing and drinking. I got drunk, went clubbing and drunk some more...on less than a fiver. When we left...everything was still busy, and the street's were still bustling

We headed back to Lars' place, watched a bit of the the Goofy movie and I fell asleep...Woke up the next day, showered and then we went out again. We headed off to Tanel's summer house, and watched a bit of TV, listened to some music and then headed off to Lars' house. Tanel was being very quiet towards me for the first few days...We had some food, and then headed off to the Sea. Estonian beaches are long, the tree line comes right down to the beach and everyone swims...and so did we...We went swimming in the Baltic sea. Let me put this into perspective. Estonia is further north than England. It's like swimming off the North coast of Scotland...Except the water is strangely warm...

WE dried off, sunbathed a bit and headed back. To find there's a Sauna waiting for us. So Tanel, Lars and me all stripped off and we headed in. 90 C was the air temperature. My hair was too hot to touch. And it was a fantastic experience :D Good for the skin apparently...

We spent the evening in, just relaxing, and sorting out stuff for the next day's road trip...making sure we have seats for everyone who's coming... We eventually hit the sack after a couple more beers, and we woke p at 7 the next day. This was not a nice experience. Estonia is 2 hours ahead...and I hadn't got used to the time difference. It was like waking up at 5...

We packed the car and headed off to meet Tanel's (sort of) girlfriend, Sandra. 4 in the car. We then headed off to somewhere on the edge of Tallinn and waited for everyone else. Kristjan in his souped up Lada, with Margus, Lumehunt, Jane (pronounced Yanna) and Sille, and Janno in his Escort, with Anx, Anca, Laisu and Warmy arrived a couple of minutes later, and while Tanel sorted out the route with Janno and Kristjan, I chatted to a couple of people and took a couple of pics of the group.

We headed off...out into Estonia...It was weird, at first, not having any proper conversations with anybody, but as we all gradually built up confidence, we talked more and more. It was great fun.

The first stop was Estonia's biggest waterfall. Estonia is as flat as pancake, and it's tallest hill is only 300 m high... the waterfall was beautiful...if only 7 m from top to bottom. Estonia's soil is mostly peat, so the water was very deep brown in colour. Took more picture's...and then headed off again. The rest of the day was spent doing much the same thing, heading from place to place, taking picture's, walking around and chatting to everyone (ok, the reason why I haven't into detail is I just can't remember all the places we went)

By the end of the day, everyone was in high spirits, but it was getting late, and we needed to camp out. We went to Rakvere and raided the supermarket. I bought the beer, Lars bought the chicken, and other people bought Cider, sausages, bread, ketchup and crisps...perfect food for a barby! Sille directed us too the forest outside of town, and we headed down to the lakeside...I helped Lars set up his tent, and Janno set the fire going. It was still warm, and we'd all had a long day in the car, so we decided to go swimming in the lake. There was a jetty leading out into the lake, giving everyone a perfect place to jump in from...me being me however, I had to do a forward flip into the lake :D The water was warm, deep and black, and there were mosquitoes everywhere... bastards...

We got dry again, sometime later, got dressed and went and gathered around the fire. Barbecuing ensued! The guys whittled down sticks and cooked them over the fire, then put chicken or sausages on them and cooked them over the really really hot fire... And the beer kept flowing. It was a cool night, lots of food, lots of cool conversations and lots of beer! Unfortunately, there were also loads of bloody mosqitoes. But it was cool. Spoke to Anca about English literature, and that was cool... Introduced her to Terry Pratchett, which she seemed to enjoy. She was reading Monstrous Regiment...and she seemed to get most of the humour.

Anyway, after lots more beer and a general lack of food around 3 am, I went and curled up in my tent and slept...until midday the next day, missing the rain. Unfortunately I left my shoes outside, and they got nicely wet... Woke up...went swimming again. It's like having a good bath in the morning, except the bath water's not usually black :p

When I got back to camp, everyone had started packing. I helped and we packed up the bags, the tent's and the rubbish and headed off again, after cooking the last of the sausages for breakfast. We saw a few more sight's, got lost a good bit more, and visited Paris. Yes, I went to Paris, population 500.

My hosts decided they were gonna teach me a bit of Estonian, and I was slowly (very slowly) getting my head around the different sounds of the language (for a basic idea, it sounds like a combination of Russian and Italian), but I'm still absolutely terrible at it...mind you I only heard the langage for the first time last saturday...so I have some excuses :D

We got back to Tallinn in the late afternoon, and I stayed in at Tanel's place talking to Tanel and Anx, we got to bed at about 2 again, and slept until 12... Mari Liis had invited us all to the zoo at 4 (everything seems to shut really really late), and we hung around until then, and caught the bus into town... The zoo was weird...Some of it was really nice, big spaces for the animals to play in...but the big mammal's had no space at all! In fact, about an hour after we left, the polar bear who's cage was smaller than my bedroom, bit a guys hand off >,<

It was cool though, but I got really worried about some of the big mammals in their small cages...and the crocodile in his...but the Elephant's and everything else seemed happy and stuff...so they got somethings right...

Anyway, after the zoo, we headed off to the supermarket, bought more food and more drink and headed off to Tanel's summer house, put some tv on and chatted while the dinner was cooking. Estonian national TV...is quite possibly the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I don't know what it was in particular but it was just mindbogglingly weird.

After dinner we went swimming in the sea again, just me and Anca...but it was too cold to stay for long, so we headed back to the house and we started the fire for the sauna going. Well..when I say we...I mean Janno, while the rest of us sat outside talkign and eating strawberries from the garden, listening to music form Kristjan's uber powerful, 2500W music system in his 30 yr old Lada :)

SO yeah, the sauna was ready (100 deg C) and we took it in turns to go in...While Janno and Anca and Laisu smoked a hookah pipe filled with melon...(most strange) Being in a room where the air temperature is the same temperature as boiling water...and the steam boils your eyes and your hair is too hot to touch...is suprisingly fun...sitting in a room with lotsa sweaty naked people... O,O

We finnished off the rest of the beer, and talked and talked and watched the sun rise on the beach... and fell asleep at 5 am...

I woke up the next day in the early afternoon and started tidying up the house before everyone else woke up. We headed our seperate ways, Tanel, Anca and me riding back into town with Janno... I went back to Anca's place and we discussed English Language stuff (She's studying English at Uni)...and she gave me a teddy :P

We headed back to Tanel's house and we talked for a bit, then Tanel and I headed back to the summer house to see Lars, the three of us spending the majority of the evening eating, drinking and then walking through the woods...

We headed back to the Summer house, and Tanel and I watched TV and chatted, then we headed up to our beds. Saturday morning we woke up at 8 and Lars gave us a lift into Tallinn. We saw Peter the Great's Palace and the President's house...and watched the guards for a bit before heading off to meet Anx at the Ferry port. We were there by 1, and we sat in the restaurant and chatted until I had to board my ferry...

It wasn't really a ferry...it was a hydrofoil thing...very fast, very smooth and it got me to Helsinki in 90 minutes... Helsinki has a small population...but it seems to go on forever! It served Reindeer sandwiches...which were nice...and the taxi to the airport cost me €30! The Airport itself was very boring...with nothing to do, and even less to see. The flight was the same as all flights: boring and cramped :D I got back on the underground, and I immediately went down to Eastbourne to see my beautiful kitsune...Very much needed *hugs tight and licks* But I had to say goodbye to him :( But I'll see him again soon :D

So Estonia...

It was weird saying goodbye to all these people...the people who'd I spoken to for so long, and who I finally got to see...It was fantastic...I learnt so much about the country...

It's always been part of someone's empire...the German's, the Swede's, the Russian Tsar's, the soviet's...
it's only been independant for about 10 years out of the last 900...it has 1.4 million people living in a country about the size of England, the capital city is about the size of Maidstone...one third of it is Medieval, one third is late 20th and 21st century, and the rest is Soviet...abandoned indstries, fading concrete tower blocks and derelict buildings...

Nothing seems to be vandalised, nothing is destroyed by anything but age, and the tower blocks are clean, well lit, well maintaned and clear of graffiti...the wages are far lower, but everything costs far less...so everyone is on Broadband, everyone has digital camera's, everyone has fast pc's...it's just cool!

The food is plain but satisfying, the beer is tasty and it just seems relaxed... I like it there...

Anyway, I'm back in England now...I'll be home on Thursday to see everyone there...and then from there...I don't know...

Cya all soon my groovy buddies...
